WHO WE ARE

“The Average Episcopalian” is a podcast and online community created by Annie Hodges and Kate Greer. We are sisters (not nuns!) who grew up in the Episcopal Church and returned to it together as adults.

We’re just two average girls talking about our shared faith. Catch us at your local coffee hour or at pub theology, asking questions and cracking jokes.

After we were confirmed in the Episcopal Church as young adults, we continued to have long conversations about religion, faith, church, liturgy, community, and life. These conversations became the connective tissue in our relationship long after our college days ended.

The Average Episcopalian was born of one self-indulgent idea: What if we added microphones to these conversations?

Neither of us are ordained or formally educated in theology. We are simply two average Episcopalians hoping to build a community where we can journey towards Christ alongside one other.

We hope you’ll join us!
